Decades of experience

TheHOLZRING is the cooperation with the longest history in timber industry. In 1971, founded as “Frankfurter Ring” by seven timber wholesalers, it was the most important aim to compensate the disadvantages towards the large group structures on supplier and consumer side by joint purchasing and concentrating services. In 1986 the cooperation was then extended and provided with a full-time structure. Hildesheim became the registered office. The HOLZRING GmbH was founded in 1990 and moved it’s headquarter to Bremen in 2000.

With its large trade volume of timber and timber related products via the Bremish Ports, this site provides ideal conditions to fulfill the demands of the HOLZRING shareholders in the international timber business. Based on the knowledge of proper treatment of timber as a valuable resource and benefitting from the neighboring Technology-Park at the university Bremen provides an ideal location for the HOLZRING-cooperation.
